Palestine: The Struggle Continues
The recent Gaza ceasefire marks a new phase for the Palestinian movement.
It was incredibly moving to see Palestinians returning to their homes in the Gaza Strip, which has suffered more bombing in two years than London, Dresden, and Hamburg combined during World War II.
A massive pro-Palestine demonstration in London, attended by 600,000 people, brought a sense of hope for the short-term improvement of lives in Gaza and a determination to continue campaigning for solidarity with the Palestinians.
The lives of the people of Gaza would improve, they would not face imminent death from bombing or starvation, and they could begin to rebuild their lives.
The marchers vowed not to stop fighting for solidarity with the Palestinians.
