Remembrance Day Poppy Craft at Haringey Libraries

Young children and their families can participate in Remembrance Day activities on Tuesday, 11 November 2025 at several Haringey libraries. Poppy craft sessions will be held at:

Hornsey Library (3:30pm–4:30pm)
Marcus Garvey Library (3:30pm–4:30pm)
Muswell Hill Library (3:45pm–4:45pm)

This activity is designed for children aged three and above. After making a poppy, participants may pin it on the Remembrance Day boards at Hornsey or Marcus Garvey Library.

Additional Poppy Craft Activity

On Monday, 17 November 2025, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, children aged five and older can create a field of poppies at Stroud Green and Harringay Library.

Comic Art Masterclasses with Kevin F Sutherland
Kevin F Sutherland, known for his work with Beano and Marvel, will host two masterclasses at Wood Green Library on Saturday, 22 November 2025:
- 10:30am–12:30pm
- 2:00pm–4:00pm
Participants will create a comic and a caricature in just two hours.
Chess Sessions
- Hornsey Library: Thursdays, 3:30pm–6pm (Beginner and expert players, bring your own board)
- Marcus Garvey Library: Tuesdays, 3:30pm–5pm (Boards available, under 16s must be with a supervising adult)
- St Ann’s Library: Mondays, 4pm–5pm (Term time only, max 12 children, ages 7–16, first come, first served)
