Avalanche Defeat Lightning 3-2 in Rematch of 2022 Final
Victor Olofsson scored twice, and Scott Wedgewood made 22 saves for his NHL-leading eighth victory of the season, as the Colorado Avalanche held off the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2.
The game was a rematch of the 2022 Stanley Cup Finals, which the Avalanche won. Ross Colton also scored, helping the Avalanche push their points total to an NHL-best 21.
The Lightning had won five games in a row prior to the loss. The Avalanche's win was marked by a brief altercation in the first period between Tampa Bay defenseman Charle-Edouard D'Astous and Colorado left wing Gabriel Landeskog.
