Samsung Electronics has unveiled plans to expand its long-term partnership with Nvidia to build an AI factory.
The factory will utilize more than 50,000 GPUs from the US-based company across its entire production system to speed the development and production of next-generation chips and mobile devices.
The facility would integrate “every aspect of semiconductor manufacturing, from design and process to equipment, operations and quality control, into a single intelligent network”.
The move is part of a company-wide digital transformation using AI-enabled manufacturing, aiming to set “the foundation of next-generation, AI-driven production”.
