Liberals Rethink Net Zero Commitment
The Liberal Party's unqualified support for net zero emissions by 2050 is likely to be abandoned, following a meeting of backbenchers on Friday morning.
According to Opposition climate and energy spokesman Dan Tehan, the meeting provided
"a pathway to bringing us all together"on the issue.
- The party will continue to pursue emissions reduction.
- The primary focus will be on cost and energy prices.
