The Middlebury football team played against the Bates Bobcats at Alumni Stadium on homecoming weekend. They won 34-16, achieving their 50th win in the matchup.
Middlebury had lost three straight games before this win, including a close game against Trinity College.
“Definitely put a chip on our shoulder, because that isn’t something this program is used to,”said Shane Johnson ’26. The team showed resiliency in their recent games.
