First Alert Weather: Long stretch of sunny, dry weather

You’ll likely need a jacket before you step outside this morning. Temperatures have cooled into the upper 40s and lower 50s.

It’s been a chilly start to the day with temperatures in the mid to upper 40s in several locations. Dry air is allowing our temperatures to quickly warm into the low to mid 70s shortly before noon.

A few clouds were present this morning in east Alabama and Georgia due to a developing low off the South Carolina coastline.

The area of low pressure is producing heavy rainfall across South Carolina and into the Mid-Atlantic, creating rough surf, coastal flooding and gusty winds all across the East Coast today and tomorrow.

However, this storm will not impact our weather, and we will remain sunny with afternoon temperatures climbing into the lower 80s. Winds are forecast to come from the north today at 5 to 10 mph.

If you have any evening plans, the weather is looking fantastic with a clear sky. Temperatures are forecast to cool into the lower 70s by 7 p.m.
