Congressional candidate Kat Abughazaleh was indicted for allegedly impeding an ICE officer's ability to do their job.
The Justice Department indicted 26-year-old Kat Abughazaleh for her involvement in a protest outside of an ICE facility in Chicago, which obstructed a federal agent's ability to do his job.
Were hit with federal charges on October 23, including conspiracy to impede or injure an ICE officer and assaulting or impeding them while the federal officer was engaged in their official duties.
The charges stem from a September 26 protest outside of the Broadview ICE detention center.
No comment from the defendant.
