Staff go above and beyond to support student in need

Staff Support Student in Need

Thanks to advocacy from his supervisors in Campus Safety, one student received a scholarship to help fund his college education.

Colin Waller '27, a computer science major, was concerned that he wouldn't be able to continue his education at Roanoke College due to funding issues. His family's financial situation had changed, and he felt his options growing limited.

Mary Jones '98, Campus Safety administrative operations and technology manager, and one of Waller's direct supervisors, stepped in to help. Jones has been supervising Waller since he started working as a dispatcher in the Campus Safety office during his first semester.
