Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old man accused of killing Charlie Kirk, has been permitted to wear street clothes during his trial by Judge Tony Graf.
However, Robinson must be physically restrained during the proceedings. This decision was made during a virtual court hearing on Monday.
Charlie Kirk, a right-wing political activist, was assassinated during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University in September. Robinson surrendered to police after a 33-hour manhunt.
Prosecutors have charged Robinson with multiple crimes, including aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, and obstruction of justice. Utah County attorney Jeff Gray has stated that they will seek the death penalty in this case.
