PARIMA, a French cultivated meat company, has received regulatory approval for its cultivated chicken from the Singapore Food Agency (SFA).
This milestone makes PARIMA the first European company to gain approval for cultivated meat. To achieve this, PARIMA worked closely with SFA to demonstrate compliance with food safety, quality, and transparency requirements.
"This approval is a landmark for European food innovation and the global cultivated foods sector," said Etienne Duthoit, founder of Vital Meat and a founding member of Cellular Agriculture Europe.
According to Duthoit, this approval builds on the dossier and advanced technology developed by Vital Meat before joining forces with Gourmey to form PARIMA, now underpinning one of the most advanced cultivated meat platforms worldwide.
