Zander Mueth was drafted 67th in 2023 with a $1.8 million signing bonus, lured away from the University of Mississippi.

In 2024, Mueth started in the Florida Complex League, going 6-1 with a 1.58 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 51.1 innings.
