Pallister breaks Ledecky's world record, McKeown creates more history

Lani Pallister and Kaylee McKeown have continued Australia's record-breaking run at the short course swimming World Cup in Toronto.

Lani Pallister has broken American great Katie Ledecky's world record that had stood for three years, in the women's 800m freestyle, bettering the previous mark by more than three seconds.

Pallister won the race at the short course swimming World Cup in Toronto by more than 15 seconds, with a time of 7:54.

Kaylee McKeown set a new world record in the women's 200m backstroke, bettering her own time set a week earlier.
