New Head Coach for Seattle Storm

Sonia Raman, former New York Liberty assistant coach, is set to become the Seattle Storm's next head coach.

Raman has a wealth of experience, having coached MIT's women's basketball team for 12 years and serving as an assistant coach for the Memphis Grizzlies for four years.

Most recently, Raman was an assistant coach for the Liberty in 2024 and was a top candidate for head coach positions.

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Raman will lead the Storm after Noelle Quinn's five-year tenure.

Raman will be a WNBA head coach for the first time, taking over a Storm organization that finished with the WNBA's 7th-best record this past season.
