Warriors' Draymond Green reportedly shut down trade talks for $195 million forward
The Golden State Warriors champion had his reasons for not wanting the team to make the trade.
Over the past few years, reports indicated that the Golden State Warriors were interested in trading for Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen.
On the surface, Markkanen would be the ideal player to go after, considering he's 7-feet tall and can stretch the floor.
Prior to landing Al Horford, if there's been one issue with the Warriors over the past few seasons, it's been their inability to have a stretch big.
However, no trade ever came to light, and according to ESPN's Anthony Slater, veteran Draymond Green played a role in that.
Green told Mike Dunleavy and Joe Lacob not to trade for Markkanen because of what Golden State would have had to give up.
