Argentina is facing a series of scandals surrounding President Javier Milei's administration, including a kickback scheme involving his sister, Karina Milei, ahead of legislative elections.
The scandal involves the National Disability Agency (ANDIS), where audio recordings revealed corruption. The recordings feature Diego Spagnuolo, the former head of ANDIS and President Milei's former lawyer, explaining that Karina Milei received 3% of the amount paid for medicines for people with disabilities.
According to the recordings, this kickback ranged from $500,000 to $800,000 per month.
This scandal comes as Argentina's Chamber of Deputies reconfirmed the Emergency Disability Law in August.
