Election Day: How and Where to Vote
On election day, Edmontonians are heading to the polls to elect their next mayor and council. To help you participate, we've created an election guide.
To be eligible to vote in Edmonton's municipal election, you must be 18 years old or older, a Canadian citizen, living in Edmonton on election day, and have that location listed as your place of residence.
Voters must show identification at the voting station, such as an Alberta driver's licence, identification card, or another form of authorized identification.
- Input your address into our election guide to find your ward and polling station.
- Take the Taproot survey to see which candidates you align with if you're still undecided.
- Register or update your information at your assigned voting station if you missed the online deadline.
Voting stations are open from 9am to 8pm.
