The Luzerne County Election Board's post-election adjudication will start sooner than in the past, according to Election Director Emily Cook.
Adjudication determines which flagged mail and provisional ballots are accepted or rejected and tallies write-in votes. Traditionally, adjudication begins the Friday after elections, but this year it will start on Thursday.
