Violinist María Dueñas Named Gramophone's 'Young Artist of the Year'
Spanish violinist María Dueñas, 22, won two major awards at the 2025 Gramophone Classical Music Awards in London.
- Instrumental Award for her recording of Paganini: 24 Caprices
- Young Artist of the Year, sponsored by Classic FM
"It’s a great pleasure and honor," said Dueñas. "Thank you for believing in the power of youth and curiosity in the arts, thank you so much for this recognition."
Norwegian violinist Vilde Frang also won Gramophone's 'Concerto' Award for her recording of the Elgar Violin Concerto.
