President Donald Trump commuted former U.S. Rep. George Santos' 7-year prison sentence on Friday.
Santos, a Republican from New York, was sentenced to 87 months in prison in April after pleading guilty to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.
A prominent former House colleague, U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, called the punishment "a grave injustice" and a product of judicial overreach.
Trump's commutation makes Santos a free man, with the President saying "Have a great life!".
