Importance of Set-Pieces in FPL
This season has seen a significant increase in the proportion of goals coming from set-pieces.
Set-piece goals have fluctuated between 200-250 per Premier League season over the last 10 years, with a high of 255 in 2016/17 and a low of 197 in 2020/21.
As a percentage of total goals, set-pieces have accounted for around 20-21% in recent years, but this season has seen a spike.
