Apple's M5 Chip Performance
The first benchmark result for the M5 chip in the 14-inch MacBook Pro has been released, providing insight into its performance.
In a single Geekbench 6 result, the M5 chip achieved a multi-core CPU score of 17,862, making it up to 20% faster than the M4 chip.
- The M5 chip outperforms the M3 Pro chip and is nearly on par with the M1 Ultra chip.
- In the new iPad Pro, the M5 chip scored 15,577 in multi-core performance, due to its 9-core CPU compared to the 10-core CPU in the 14-inch MacBook Pro.
The new 14-inch MacBook Pro and iPad Pro models are available for pre-order, launching on October 22.
