An Ohio legislative leader has indicated plans to limit the authority of county judges before the end of the year.
In recent years, restraining orders and injunctions have delayed the implementation of GOP-backed state laws, including those related to abortion, gender transition treatments for minors, and the reorganization of the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) Board.
“Folks don’t like what the legislature has done, and an injunction goes on,”
said House Speaker Matt Huffman (R-Lima), expressing his belief that these orders have become too far-reaching.
