A new pirate ship is being installed at Storyland, making waves with its $700,000 price tag.
Privately funded by a local anonymous family, the ship was designed and built by a Paso Robles company known for its work on Disney attractions and statues.
Storyland, promoting reading and traditional Mother Goose stories, is expanding to include STEM learning experiences with this new exhibit.
The project, four years in the making, began installation on Monday and is expected to be ready by early November.
