Tennis Players Qualify for OFSAA Championship
Seven local tennis players have qualified for the OFSAA championship in November.
They secured their spots by placing in the top two at the SWOSSAA championship, held on Wednesday in Chatham at the Joe Carpenter and Doug Allin courts and the Chatham-Kent Racquet Centre.
- McGregor's Claudia Del Corral was second in high school girls singles.
- Chatham-Kent's Hannah Heinhuis and Hayden Heinhuis were second in high school girls doubles.
- Pain Court's Carter May and Will Deline were second in high school boys doubles.
- Pain Court's Kaylene Brophy and Parker Graham were second in high school mixed doubles.
The team title was won by Windsor Riverside with 16 points, followed by LaSalle Villanova with 13 points, Lambton Central with 11 points, and Pain Court with 10 points.
Pain Court had the most SWOSSAA players with 10, exceeding all other schools.
