World’s Triathlon Elite Head to Calvia for Challenge Peguera 2025
Over 1,600 athletes will compete in the Mallorca triathlon, resulting in road closures across Calvia this Saturday.
Women’s Race Favorites
In the women’s race, top contenders include Germany’s Lena Meissner, Britain’s Daisy Davies, and Sweden’s Anna Bergsten.
- Lena Meissner: currently 23rd in the PTO world rankings, recent winner of Ironman 70.3 Sweden
- Daisy Davies: 43rd in the PTO rankings, fresh from her win at Challenge Almere
- Anna Bergsten: 49th in the PTO rankings, finished third at Challenge Samarkand in August
Men’s Professional Field
The men’s field features notable athletes such as Britain’s James Teagle and Serbia’s Ognjen Stojanović.
- James Teagle: 73rd in the PTO rankings, recently secured second place at Ironman 70.3 Tallinn
- Ognjen Stojanović: 79th in the PTO rankings, finished third on the podium at CPM24
Beyond the elite field, hundreds of age-group competitors will participate, ranging in age from 18 to 82 years old.
