Fire in Walsh County Destroys Potato Warehouse
A fire destroyed a potato warehouse in Walsh County on Wednesday afternoon in Hoople.
The Walsh County Sheriff’s Office reported that the south wall of the warehouse was engulfed in flames.
The fire attack had to be placed on hold until power and propane gas service were removed from the building.
Crews from Hoople, Park River, Edinburg, and Crystal, as well as Park River Ambulance and the Walsh County Paramedic Team, responded to the fire.
Most of the crews were cleared from the scene by around 6:30 p.m.
