The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a notice that Sprouts Farmers Market is recalling their Smoked Mozzarella Pasta Salad due to Listeria concerns.

A supplier, Fresh Creative Foods, informed the retailer of the potential contamination after learning that a pasta ingredient manufactured by Nate's Fine Foods in California may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Listeria is a bacterium that can cause listeriosis, a serious and sometimes fatal infection.
