United Way of Delta County has shifted its focus towards serving the community, with a new emphasis on school readiness, as stated by Executive Director Julie Mallard.

The organization recently held a Family Academy event at Bay College, featuring literacy-based activities and free books, including a popular Rhythm and Rhyme station that showcased how music and rhythm can boost literacy skills.
