Migrants at Row Hotel Shelter Receive Relocation Notices
Migrants staying at the Row Hotel shelter in Midtown have started receiving notices to relocate, marking a new development in the migrant crisis that began three years ago.
The notices, shared with Gothamist, instruct migrants to leave the site by various dates, ranging from early November to late December or February.
"We would like to help you make the next steps in order to leave this temporary emergency shelter, located at the Row... After this date, you have to make a request to stay longer in the shelter.”
A staff member will explain the process for requesting a longer stay before the indicated departure date.
