Jim Boyd Elected Senate President-designate
Jim Boyd, a Bradenton Republican Senator, has been unanimously elected as Senate President-designate by the Senate Republican Caucus.
He pledged to lead with a governing approach grounded in fiscal restraint and pro-growth policies. Boyd is set to succeed Sen. Ben Albritton and will lead the upper chamber for the 2026-28 term.
