Monks Named New Bennington Town Manager
Dan Monks was appointed as Bennington's new town manager by the Select Board.
Monks has been the assistant town manager for a decade under the late Stuart Hurd. He took on the manager's role on an acting basis in July when Hurd went on medical leave.
"I am humbled by your action; I know I have huge shoes to fill,"
Monks expressed gratitude to the board, town staff, and the people of Bennington. He also thanked his mentor, Stuart Hurd, for his lifetime of service.
