Flood Response Criticism
President Claudia Sheinbaum faced criticism for her response to the floods that have claimed over 60 lives across four states.
The flooding has affected Veracruz, Hidalgo, Puebla, and Querétaro, with a reported 64 deaths and 65 people missing, according to National Civil Protection chief Laura Velázquez.
Sheinbaum acknowledged that the federal National Disasters Fund (Fonden) no longer exists
Despite this, Sheinbaum asserted that there is sufficient money in the budget to provide support to those affected by the floods.
