Truett Launches Anglican Episcopal House of Studies
Truett Seminary at Baylor University has created an alliance with a conservative branch of Mainline Protestantism, establishing an Anglican Episcopal House of Studies.
The new house was announced on October 13, following the opening of a Wesleyan House of Studies four years prior, which is aligned with the Global Methodist Church, a more conservative breakaway from The United Methodist Church.
The program will be led by a representative from the Anglican Church in North America, a more conservative side of American Anglicanism, despite being labeled as Anglican and Episcopal, referencing the Episcopal Church in America, a branch of the larger Anglican communion.
