The Village of Fox Crossing has selected Capt. Tim Callan as its next police chief, succeeding Scott Blashka.
"I think he will do a great job here in Fox Crossing,"
said Village Manager Jeff Sturgell. Capt. Callan, the second in command of the police department, was announced as the selection by Thomas Gritton, president of the Police and Fire Commission, in October.
He was previously named one of three finalists for the position, along with Deputy Chief Shawn Engleman of the Caledonia Police Department and Deputy Chief Matthew Laha of the Fitchburg Police Department.
