Eureka Naval Craft Unveils Aircat Bobcat
Eureka Naval Craft, headquartered in Houston, has unveiled the Aircat Bobcat, a 57-foot high-speed catamaran landing craft, at the AUSA Week event in Washington, D.C.
The Aircat Bobcat is designed to transport personnel and cargo into littoral zones, rivers, and estuaries with limited or no ports and infrastructure.
- Length: 57 feet
- Cargo capacity: up to 10 tons
- Troop capacity: 36 troops
- Top speed: 50 knots
- Range: 350 nautical miles at 38 knots
The Bobcat is quite literally the pick-up truck of the littorals and will revolutionize Army and Marine Corps expeditionary operations.
According to Bo Jardine, CEO of Eureka Naval Craft, the Bobcat is production-ready and will serve as a practical workhorse for modern ship-to-shore movement.
