Major Drug Seizure at Rosslare Port
Gardai and Revenue seized over €10m in drugs at Rosslare port in a joint operation targeting serious organised crime activity.
The operation, led by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue's Customs Service, resulted in the search of a truck and trailer unit travelling from the continent at Rosslare Europort.
- A truck and trailer unit was searched, revealing an elaborate lead-lined concealment within the fuel tank.
- Approximately 150 kgs of cocaine was discovered, with an estimated street value of €10.5 million.
A male in his 50's was arrested and is currently detained under Organised Crime Legislation in the South East of the country.
