TRL Opens New Headquarters in Wokingham
The relocation of TRL follows the planned redevelopment of its former headquarters at Crowthorne House, which is being transformed into a residential estate by the landowners. All tenants, including TRL, have now moved out.
The new premises in Wokingham showcase TRL’s ongoing pursuit of innovation and technical excellence. The facility offers an advanced working environment designed for engineers, researchers, and operational teams.

- Specialist drop rig for safety helmet testing.
- Dedicated workshop for Wehner Schulze pavement tests.
- Test and assembly area for Leg Form Impactors used in crash research.
- UTC testing suite supporting traffic light software development.
- Flexible laboratory spaces suitable for a wide range of highways research projects.
The building also includes secured storage and garage space for over 20 specialist vehicles that assist TRL teams conducting road surveys and pavement testing across the UK.
