Shetland Series 10 Premiere
The reliably engaging Shetland (BBC One, Wednesday) opened its 10th series with Tosh and Calder (played by Alison O’Donnell and Ashley Jensen) handling a fishing boat reportedly carrying drugs. Shortly after, they received news of a dead body discovered in the village of Lunnswick.
“Retired social worker Eadie Tulloch was left outside her house for days, tethered to a post. Inside, the place showed no signs of disturbance. It was as if, said Calder, she was led out meekly, like an animal to slaughter.”
The episode also introduces a confident new fiscal, Matt (Samuel Anderson), who inadvertently reveals the strain on his long-distance relationship with his girlfriend in Edinburgh.
