The second production of Dobama Theatre's 2025/26 season is THE HOBBIT, adapted by Greg Banks from J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved novel. The play, directed by Erin E. Dolan, will run from December 4, 2025, to January 4, 2026.

Greg Banks' intimate adaptation brings Tolkien's classic tale to life with imaginative stagecraft. Featuring eight actors who portray nearly forty characters, the show transports audiences into the enchanting world of Bilbo Baggins.
The story follows Bilbo, a hobbit who enjoys the comfort of his cozy Hobbit Hole, until the wizard Gandalf arrives, setting him on a magical journey. Along the way, Bilbo encounters fearsome goblins, determined dwarves, and the legendary dragon Smaug.
