Teachers Get Death Threats After MAGA Claims Their Halloween Costumes Mocked Charlie Kirk

Teachers Receive Death Threats Over Halloween Costume Claims

A spokesperson for Turning Point USA wrongly accused a high school math department of wearing Halloween costumes that mocked the assassination of TPUSA cofounder Charlie Kirk. This false claim led to a wave of online harassment, including death threats, against the teachers involved.

Incident Details

At Cienega High School in Arizona, members of the math department wore matching bloodstained white T-shirts with the phrase “Problem Solved” printed in black across the front on Halloween. The school district shared a photo of the group on its Facebook page.

The district’s superintendent, John Carruth, confirmed that no students or parents raised complaints about the costumes during the school day.

False Accusations and Reactions

On Saturday, Andrew Kolvet, former executive producer of Charlie Kirk’s show, posted the photo on X and claimed:

“Concerned parents just sent us this image of what's believed to be teachers in [Vail School District] mocking Charlie's murder. They deserve to be famous, and fired.”

Kolvet suggested the T-shirts resembled the “Freedom” shirts Kirk wore when he was assassinated while speaking at Utah Valley University in September.

Consequences for Teachers

School District’s Response

The district clarified that the costumes were never reported as offensive by students or parents, implying there was no intent to mock any individual or event.
