Craig Melvin's Unexpected Confession on 'Today With Jenna and Friends'
Craig Melvin stunned co-host Jenna Bush Hager with a surprising admission during the November 3 broadcast of Today With Jenna and Friends. While preparing to discuss trending topics, Craig revealed he had never actually seen the set or watched the show before.
"You know, I've never seen [Today With Jenna and Friends]," Craig told Jenna, according to People.
Jenna was visibly shocked and responded, "That is so rude!" She added in disbelief, "Did you just hear him say he's never watched the show?"
Craig Explains His Unusual Situation
Craig clarified that his schedule as co-anchor of the first three hours of NBC's morning series with Savannah Guthrie prevents him from staying in Studio 1A to watch the later segments.
"I'm usually in transit, but this is nice," Craig said in defense.
Jenna playfully pointed out the show lasts a full hour, and Craig admitted he might start watching some of it.
"Here's the thing about it ... it's a full hour," Jenna pressed. "I know," Craig replied, "I could probably watch some of it."
