The launch of the United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket carrying the ViaSat-3 Flight 2 (F2) mission has been postponed due to a technical issue.
During final checkouts, a problem was encountered while cycling the booster liquid oxygen tank vent valve. This required additional troubleshooting time, and the launch team is now preparing for a 24-hour recycle.
The launch, initially planned for November 5 from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, is now rescheduled for the following day. The new window opens Thursday, November 6, with a 44-minute launch opportunity.
“Today’s forecast shows a 95 percent chance of favorable weather conditions for launch,” said the mission team.
The launch is set to occur at Space Launch Complex-41, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida.
The ViaSat-3 F2 mission launch by ULA was delayed due to a valve issue but is rescheduled with strong weather prospects, keeping hopes high for a successful liftoff.
