Dayton Children’s CEO Announces Retirement

Debbie Feldman, President and CEO of Dayton Children’s Hospital, announced her plan to retire after 13 years of leadership. Her retirement will take effect on June 30, 2026.

“As I look back over the last 13 years at Dayton Children’s, I could not be prouder of all we have accomplished. Through challenging financial years, an unprecedented pandemic, a pediatric mental health crisis, and workforce shortages – all within one of the most competitive children’s hospital markets in the country – we have emerged stronger on every measure and have exceeded every goal we set for ourselves.”

Feldman expressed gratitude to the community, staff, and supporters who have helped advance the hospital’s mission and vision. She noted their contributions as key to accelerating improvements in pediatric care.

“It was a very difficult decision. I will miss Dayton Children’s and the incredible people who support it. The degree to which this community has rallied around our mission and vision is truly astounding.”

She assured that the next president and CEO will be chosen through a rigorous selection process led by the Spencer Stuart executive search firm, ensuring continuity of leadership and values at Dayton Children’s.
