Celebrating October's Kitchen Porters of the Month
Each month, the Kitchen Porters Club recognises the heroes of hospitality, the kitchen porters whose work keeps operations running seamlessly across care homes, schools, hotels, pubs, and restaurants.
Their dedication often takes place behind the scenes, but their impact is front and centre. These awards exist thanks to colleagues who take the time to nominate them, a simple yet powerful act that says people matter here.
Every nomination reinforces a culture rooted in appreciation, teamwork, and shared pride. October proved another busy and inspiring month for the judging team, with exceptional entries competing for the Kitchen Porter of the Month title.
This month, the honour goes to two outstanding winners:
- Scott Marshallsay, a trainee at The Crumbs Project
- Charles Memeng, a kitchen porter at BM Caterers
