Pisgah Legal Services provides free, unbiased help to Western North Carolina residents for 2026 health insurance enrollment through the HealthCare.gov Marketplace.
Open enrollment began on November 1, with significant changes to the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and Medicaid, including higher premiums and no coverage for Dreamers.
“There are major changes this year that could affect your coverage and costs, which can be confusing,” said Mike McDonald, managing director at Pisgah Legal Services. “Even if you had Marketplace insurance last year, it’s important to review your options to make sure you are getting the best plan for your needs.”
Certified health counselors with Pisgah Legal Services are available to assist with enrollment by December 15 for coverage starting January 1.
