Aussie star Matt Hauser is looking to achieve another hometown success in the iconic Noosa Triathlon, an event that holds great significance for him.
Fresh from his history-making World Championship victory, Hauser headlines the men's elite field for the 42nd running of the Garmin Noosa Triathlon, alongside defending men's winner Brayden Mercer.
The race will feature a 1.5km swim, 40km ride, and 10km run on the sun-soaked streets of Noosa on Sunday, 2 November.
"It was really special to claim the title at home,"
Hauser said, after becoming the first Australian man in 20 years to claim the world crown at the World Triathlon Championship Series in Wollongong a fortnight ago.
