Twitter Domain Retirement Announcement
The social network formerly known as Twitter has quietly revealed that the twitter.com domain is set to be "retired".
As a first step, the company is requiring users with hardware security keys or passkeys to re-enroll within two weeks, or they will cease to work.
X's Safety account: "By November 10, we're asking all accounts that use a security key as their two factor authentication (2FA) method to re-enroll their key to continue accessing X."
- Users can re-enroll their existing security key or enroll a new one.
- Enrolling a new security key will stop any other security keys from working, unless also re-enrolled.
