Sweden’s still ahead in the preparedness game — and now it means business

Sweden Leads in Preparedness

Sweden is once again at the forefront of preparedness, this time with a focus on businesses. According to Elisabeth Braw, a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, informing companies of potential threats and how to prepare is becoming increasingly important in today's geopolitical landscape.

Seven years ago, Sweden made international headlines with its "In Case of Crisis or War" leaflet, which was sent to all households in the country. This initiative has since inspired a trend across Europe. Now, Sweden is taking it a step further with a preparedness leaflet specifically designed for businesses.

Informing companies about threats that could harm them, and how they can prepare, makes perfect sense.

The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) first published the "In Case of Crisis or War" leaflet in 2018, sending it to every household in the country. This move has proven to be a significant step in promoting preparedness and resilience.
