Senate President Martin Looney and Majority Leader Bob Duff have called on Governor Ned Lamont to follow the example of other states and post information on state agency websites about the recent service disruptions, blaming what they term as "inept Republican governance".
As the federal government shutdown continues, threatening funding for numerous services, state Senate leaders are urging Governor Lamont to be more aggressive in publicly assigning blame towards national Republicans.
The administration of President Donald Trump has also taken similar action, ordering a video featuring Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem blaming Democrats for flight delays to be played at airports.
Locally, Bradley International Airport is not playing the video.
